Here at JV Marine World we love our Revival Boats! Revival Boats create value-focused family fishing, lifestyle and off-shore-oriented boats that are meticulously hand-crafted in Melbourne, Victoria. Launched in the wake of the GFC, Revival Boats is the creation of founder, Sam Catanese, former captain of iconic Aussie boat brand, Stejcraft Boats. Rather than merely replicate his previous efforts, Sam started with a clean sheet and crafted a tougher and more versatile family of hulls  that could cater to every environment and boating experience. The 2022 fleet comprises 9 models from 5.25m to 6.5m each with unique editions that span a vast array of boating options and offer unrivaled value in their respective markets.

Revival delivered it’s first boat, a R525 Cuddy, 14 years ago in Mid-June, 2008. The company has crafted around 2000 hulls in it’s Melbourne-based facility since that time. Revival Boat’s founder, Sam Catanese, has designed and constructed countless thousand of hulls in his six decades as a local boat builder and many of his early creations (some in timber) are still plying the waters today.

ARE ‘GLASS REVIVALS BETTER THAN A TINNIE?
Not all fibreglass boats are created equal, that’s why Revival’s COMPOSITE-REINFORCED TIMBER STRINGER SYSTEM or CRTSS combines the time-proven strength of a marine grade timber chassis that’s encapsulated in a composite laminate and permanently bonded to the hull and deck to create a robust and long-lasting unitary structure that soaks up the pounding mother-nature often hands out.

Revival build modern hulls that blends time-proven traditional techniques with contemporary materials and styling. Sam Catanese is uncompromisingly old-school and still painstakingly shapes his prototypes by hand. Sam a wooden boat builder by trade as were many of his contemporaries back in the sixties and seventies. While CNC routers and CAD design are valuable tools, Sam’s hands and eyes inform every new hull he designs.
